Career Opportunities for CAD & Mechanical Designers:

Careers in design and drafting provide the opportunity to turn ideas into reality. The CAD and MET degrees qualify graduates for technician positions in drafting, design, sales, estimating and consulting. Most jobs are in an engineering office environment and include full benefits. Starting salaries are generally from $37,000 to $45,000 with opportunities for advancement.

There is a wide range of fields that require CAD and Mechanical Design: engineering teams for manufacturing firms, consultant engineering firms, testing, aerospace, robotics, product development, and research companies.
